Falconets back in trainning

The Nigerian U-20 female team smarting from the 3-2 victory over Canada on the opening day of the Russia 2006 world cup, Friday returned to training ahead of their next match in Moscow.

The do or die encounter which is slated for Sunday 20th August against China is expected to be fiercely contested by both sides desirous of a quater-final placing.

The Nigerian side will be approaching the match with vengeance on their mind having been conquered at the same stage by their Chinese counterparts 0-1 in Thailand two years ago although both sides eventually made it through.

The other match in the group will have Canada take on Finland with the loser emerging as the first team to be sent packing from the world cup.

Nigeria is joint top with China on the group table after the opening day victory over Canada and Finland respectively.

Reports Opatola Adewole, Moscow, Russia.
