FIFA President Joseph S. Blatter, Organising Committee Chairman Chuck Blazer and Football Union of Russia President Vitaly Mutko will “meet the press” at two media conferences during the FIFA President’s visit to Russia between 16-18 August. The first media conference will take place at Petrovsky Stadium in St Petersburg at 15.15 on August 17, prior to the kick-off of the opening match of the FIFA U-20 Women's World Championship Russia 2006. The delegation will travel to Moscow the next day and hold the second media briefing at Dynamo Stadium on 18 August at 15.00, prior to the start of the Switzerland-Mexico match.
The Nigerian team known as the falconets are expected to kickstart their world cup campaign on the 17th August against Canada.
