Toro, hottest favourite for FA Seat
One time Secretary General of the Nigeria Football Association, NFA Alhaji Sanni Toro could be on his way back to the Glass House Head Quarters of the game in the country. This is if what reports reaching us from our various offices across the nation, are right.
According to our investigations, we gathered that, Toro who had been at the head of affairs of the nation's soccer house for over six years, looks more favoured to go back there; except that this time around, as the Executive Chairman of the national football body. Some of the criteria used by our men, included the country's first ever world cup finals attendance, quality performance at the Finals held in the United States in 1994, the nation's second but, first ever Nations Cup victory outside the country ...Tunisia '94, series of victories at the junior levels of the game across the world and of course, the appreciable level of tranquility which prvailed during Toro's tenure as scribe; amongst others. Toro, on leaving the FA became the Sports Commissioner of his home State, Bauchi, from where he moved to the Federal House of Representatives. His desire to come back to the football house, is seen by many as "the zeal to ensure that, things go well with the globally cherished game in his country, and countribute his quota to the growth and development of the game." 0
