APFON set for Congress, elections

Following the decision to hold its national congress in the Ogun State capital, Abeokuta on September 5 and 6, the Association of Professional Fooballlers of Nigeria (APFON), some ex-internationals have been appointed as members of the electoral committee that will be saddled with the responsiblities of conducting elections into key positions of the body.

 

The chosen ex-internationals include; Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi,(chairman) Musa Garba (Secretary), Emmanuel Attah, Dominic Iorfa, George Omokaro and Teddy Isiabinso. 

 While the congress is expected to be attended by no fewer than 52 players' representatives from 52 clubs of the Globacom Premier League and Pro League, 37 ex-players from all the States of the Federation and Abuja and 10 representatives from Female and Amateur clubs.

The chosen ex-internationals include; Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi,(chairman) Musa Garba (Secretary), Emmanuel Attah, Dominic Iorfa, George Omokaro and Teddy Isiabinso.

Positions to be contested included that of the President, 1st and 2nd Vice Presidents, representatives of Premier and Pro-League, female and amateur clubvsa into the National Executive Committee of the players' body.
