CAF hammers El Ahly players

In the CAF match between Tunisian side, C.S. Sfaxien and El Ahly of Egypt, center referee for encounter reported that two players - jersey 7 Shady Mohamed Abdel Fattah and jersey 9 Emad Mohamed Abd El Naby Ibrahim both of Ahly attempted to "aggress" him, referee Coulibaly Loman from Mali.

 

According to CAF Rule Section 4. Intimidation/CAF disci;linary code Article 124, states that, "anyone who intimidates a match official with serious threats will be sanctioned with a fine of at least, one thousand USD ($1,000) and one match suspension." 

 This the continental soccer body explained in a letter of suspension to the Egyptian has been responsible for the action. The referee of the above-mentioned match has reported to the Disciplinary Board that at the end of the match the following players attempted to "aggress him":

The statement said further that," each one of them suspended for their forthcoming match of their club El Ahly, namely: match of the 2nd day of Group A No. 112: El Ahly (Egypt) vs. J.S.K. (Algeria), scheduled to be played in Cairo on July 29th 2006, in the frame of the 10th Edition of MTN/CAF Champions League, "CL", for the year 2006.

With a fine of $ 2000 (Two thousand United States Dollars) payable with immediate effect, and this amount is to be paid within 60 (sixty) days of notification of this decision."
