Martha Abara is first Falcons' casualty

Martha Abara
Rivers Angels defender, Martha Abara on Wednesday became the first player to be dropped from the Falcons camp.

Martha Abara was dropped as a result of a nagging knee injury she copped during the female league Super Six play offs at Umuahia.

Chief Coach Ismaila Mabo excused Abara so she could rest her knee in time for the Falcons' second leg match against the black Queens of Ghana.

“Coach wanted me to stay in camp so the doctors will take care of the knee but I prefer the traditional way so he let me go,” Martha Abara told www.nigeriasports.com on her arrival in Port Harcourt.

“He assured me that as soon as I am okay he would invite me for subsequent games,” She enthused.
