Obafemi Martins now 'ObaGlo'

Inter Milan FC and Super Eagles' irrepressible goal hunter, Obafemi Martins was in Lagos yesterday, re-christened 'OBA GLO'. This was during the endorsement ceremonies for the player as one of the members of the Globacom Telecommunication Organization in the country.

According to Mrs. Gladys Talabi, the telecom's legal director, the inclusion of the player into the folds of Globacom is in recognition of Obafemi and other players' role in boosting the image of the country and Globacom's stance of providing world class communication for the entire continent.

Mrs. Talabi disclosed that aside the N500,000 airtime and the top class handset, the endorsement contract includes "an undisclosed lucrative deal that, is acceptable to both parties.

The wedlock between Obafemi and Globacom is expected to last for as long as both parties can keep it going," Talabi, who recently clocked 50 years told nigeriasports.com

After the endorsement event at the Mike Adenuga Towers on Victoria Island, Lagos, the players including Osaze Odewingie and others drove to the Satelite Town Globacom Towers on the Badagary Express Way, Lagos for the presentation of the players to soccer fans.
