Vatalis Lanshima sets New World record![]() The Paralympic Challenge is an elite competition organized by German-based prosthesis manufacturer Otto Bock. It brings together amputee athletes from across the globe that made the finals in their events at the 2004 Paralympic Games in Athens, Greece. Vitalis, who missed out on the games in Greece, was invited on discretionary grounds based on his previous performance. He was excluded from the Nigerian Paralympic team in 2004 but has continued to impress with his performances, running unverified times of 11:08 seconds and 22:53 seconds in the 100 and 200 meters respectively. The competition in Germany enabled Vitalis Lanshima to settle scores with Elliot Mujaji, who is the current world champion in the 100 and 200 meters Class T46, and gold medalist at the Paralympic Games in Athens.
