Galadima may jettison mandate

The crisis rocking the Nigeria Football Association for the past six months will soon become history if the words of the Director of Sports Development in the Sports Ministry, Dr. Amos Adamu are anything to go by.

Dr Adamu at a press briefing in Lagos on Friday said efforts are in the pipeline to make the warring factions shealth their swords adding that he had met with the NFA board led by the incumbent Chairman Ibrahim Galadima to come to a truce in the interest of the sport.

"I have spoken to Galadima and as also let the Minister see the reason while both parties will come to an understanding," he explained.

Adamu said a way out of the stalemate me be out next week Thursday when he meets the board again adding that it was unfortunate that instead for some Nigerians to find a solution to the problem they were rather fueling it.

This he explained would not do our football any good as the upcoming footballers would not forget the administrators if the logjam persists.

We however gathered that the arrangement by Adamu ho is a world football governing body, FIFA member was to ease Galadima out and opt for a fresh election.

The Ministry we learnt futher is prepared to compensate Galadima with other appointments once he dropped the mandate given to him last December in his home town, Kano.
