Casualities worries at the Gateway Games

The Dean, Faculty of Pharmacy,Olabisi Onabanjo University,Ago-Iwoye,Ogun State,Prof Mrs Emem Femi hastold nigeriasports.com that the number of casulties atthe Gateway Games are on rapid increase. The University Don who was drafted to oversee emergency cases at The 15th edition of Nigeria sportsFestival said the medical unit handled a lot ofincidents, one of which involved a woman from Kaduna State. ";We took care of Plateau State contingent who had an accident on their way to Abeokuta, but they are alright now.One official in the contingent had a fracture," said Prof Femi. "i don`t want to divulge names so that their people back home wouldn`t get afraid" ;she stressed. The Secretary General, West African Post Graduate College of Pharmacy,Lagos,Nigeria said they discovered that the man who drove the people from Jos is a youth who was drunk and that the vehicle summersaulted. "We have had incidents of diahorrea. In boxing, we have two judges down with arm cuts from bottles and matchets. One of them has five stitches in his head," revealed the lady from the college. She seized the opportunity to call on all participants, especially the sportsmen and women to do their best and not to seek to win by all means.
