Sackey is not Ghana, says Ajuma

Falcons of Nigeria mercurial midfielder, Ajuma Ameh says the Falcons will not underrate Ghana because of the absence of their captain, Alberta Sackey from the team’s roster for the crucial Olympic games qualifier.

Ajuma Ameh told www.nigeriasports.com that the Falcons will surely not underrate Ghana when they meet on the 30th of January.

“Underrate Ghana? Why?” Ajuma asked.

“I don’t see the possibility of us doing that just because one player is absent. Alberta Sackey might be their captain but the fact that their coach decided to play without her, means that he must have a pretty good side to prosecute the match.”

Ajuma downplayed any ideas of the Ghanaians having any psychological edge over Nigeria after their defeat of the Falcons at the last Africa Women Championships.

“They beat us, so what? Remember we still beat them in the final with double scores. Our team is okay, it’s loaded and I just hope our players will train well and prepare with all their hearts because that is the key thing. Encounters between Nigeria and Ghana have been tough but we will scale through against them this time around”
