Hammer on three C'wealth-bound Nigerians

One of the country's medal hopefuls at the next Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, Australia, Chinedu Oriala and a compatriot, Gloria Kamasuode, the nation's fastest runner as at the last Mobil Athletics in Abuja, have been joined by the country's long jump hopeful, Ibifuro Tobin-West, to make three, the number of Nigerian athletes, whose hopes for a Commonwealth Games action, got bashed and dashed last week.

While Chinedu Oriala, a 100m hope and Gloria Kamasuode were refused Australian entry visas by the Australian authorities in the country, Ibifuro Tobin-West was stopped for testing positive to an unnamed banned substance after a post-Mobil Track and Field test in Abuja.

But for the duo of Chinedu and Gloria, it was a case of "finding or discovering some irregularities in their travelling documents."
