WAUG-TATT - UNILAG maintain lead
Twenty-one universities have put their names on the medal chart of the first West Africa University Games in Tennis, Athletics and Table Tennis, WAUG-TATT with host University of Lagos dictating the pace with eleven gold, three silver and six bronze medals.
UNIBEN is second with three gold two silver and five bronze medals, Univer sity of Ghana is third with 3 gold, one silver and 2 bronze. Others are ABU, Zaria with 3 gold and one silver, Nasarawa State University had 3 gold to place 5th, UNIPORT is sixth with 2 gold and 3 silver. University of Ado-Ekiti is occupying the rear on the medal table as at the close of event on Friday, March 3 with just a bronze for their effort. The week long championship ends Saturday with few events to be decided. 1
