Galadima, Ogunjobi for probe
FIFA-padded Nigeria Football Association, NFA returnee chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Galadima has been indicted by the Committee on Sports of the National Assembly. This was made known in Abuja after the committee had concluded deliberations on alleged misappropriation of funds by the Kano-born soccer administrator.
According to reports reaching nigeriasports.com Galadima is not the lone culprit... his Secretary-General, Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi, is also being indicted by the reports of the committee. To this end the committee said, the NFA will have to be probed from 1999 to 2005, when the duo left office. The Nigerian football house ruler is amongst others, being accused of double spending and being unable to render accounts of both the national Under-17 World Youth Championship in Finland and the Gambia respectively, where the country could not even go into the knock-out stages of the African qualifiers. Our investigations indicate that, "these could be some of the traps being set for the man, who has refused to be ripped of his NFA title. Another way being plotted by the Ministry to unseat Galadima and his Kano December 29, 2005 'elected' members, we scooped, is to see how State FA chairmen, who participated at the election, are forced to resign by their respective states. It will be recalled that, the global soccer lords, FIFA have since given its approval for the rulership of Galadima and his crew over the country's football...and since then, the game have not known peace in the country. The League has no kick-off date yet, the Galadima-led FA has no operational office or base, Nigerian continental crown-seeking clubsides, have not been able to find their rhythm, amongst other ills. 0
