Togolese daggers-drawn over Keshi

Both players of the Togolese national side, The Hawks, and quite a handful of the game's disciples are reported to be on the war path with that West African nation's soccer authorities over the sack of Nigerian -born shot caller, Stephen Okechukwu Keshi.

Reports reaching nigeriasports.com Lagos offices have it that, the groups have decided to do all they can to ensure that, Togo would be unbearable for the purport imported coach being tiped by the Togolese Football Federation,FTF.

According to the report, while the players have decided that, they would not work with Psifter, the unrepentant followers of the Hawks have vowed to withdraw their supports in whatever form to the team.

"The people of Togo have made it clear to the Football authorities here, that they do not want Otto Pfister, who had once-upon-time handled both the Congo DR and Ghana national teams respectively. In both countries, he came home with nothing to show ...he had also handled some clubsides in the north of Africa and it was the same story.

"So, what does he have now that, he wants to show us in Togo? What impression does he want to creat here that he had not created in these places where there were better players than Togo?  Keshi gave us our first ever World Cup ticket; so he should be allowed to reap the fruits of his sweat and not a foreigner, who did not know how we got there,," the players and fans were quoted as aggitating.
