Oil Games tennis enters q-finals![]() In some of the matches decided at the National Stadium tennis courts on Monday, Lawal Aderemi of NNPC taught Enaibe Ote of Schlumberger some tennis tutorials with a 6/1 6/0 victory to book a quarter final ticket. Joining Lawal in the quarter final is another NNPC representative, Enjugu Fred who humbled Olivier Desport also of Schlumberger 7/5, 6/0. Speaking to our correspondent after the victory, Lawal said he was delighted to have move to the quarterfinal stage adding that his victory was as a result of hardwork. He said his ambition was to finish as the winner in the championship. Asked what he benefitted from the championship, Lawal said it provided the staff of the oil companies the opportunity to interract and socialise and also the opportunity to be physically and mentally fit as all work and no play made Jack a dull boy. Other quarterfinalists are Lawal Femi of NLNG who defeated Afe I.K of OANDO in a rubber at 6/2,2/6,6/3, Daniel Amosuka of NLNG who humiliated Oeagbay of OANDO 6/0,6/0. The championship continues at the National Stadium on Wednesday with the final expected to come up on Friday at the Chevron Sports Club. Meanwhile the organisers said the athletics final event would come up during the half time of the football event which would end the games on Saturday at the Main Bowl of the National Stadium. Events such as squash, table tennis and swimming are holding at the Chevron Club on daily basis. 0
