Eric Williams gets National record

Rivers born swimmer, Eric Williams set a new national record in the men 200meters breaststroke at Governor’s Cup National Swimming championship in Port Harcourt.

Eric Williams laid the former record of 2:37.15 by Igbekele Aiyenuwa in 2002 to rest with a time of 2:35.51 on Saturday.

Eric Williams told www.nigeriasports.com that as a man from Rivers State, he is proud of breaking a record for the first time especially in a championship organized by his state.
