Cameroon in quarters, Togo out

Cameroon's Indomitable Lions trounced Togo 2-0 on wednesday night to move into the quarter finals of the African Cup of Nations, a result that saw Togo become the second country after Libya to see their way out of the competition.

African footballer of the year, Samuel Eto'o Fils ran the Togolese defence ragged giving the 2002 Champions the lead in the 60th minutes with a 25 yard shot into the top corner of the post.

In the 77th minute, Eto'o again ran the defence down from the right before providing for Albert Metoung who cheekily backheeled behind a hapless togolese goalkeeper.

Before then, Cameroon had hit the post twice and Togo's attack, spearheaded by Sheyi Adebayo also gave Cameroon some problems.
