Kalu declares Public Holiday


The twelfth of December every year is now to be observed as a public holiday in Abia State.

The work free day is to mark the day Nigeria through Enyimba football club broke a more than thirty-year-old jinx of not lifting the CAF Champions League Trophy.

Governor Orji Uzor Kalu who announced this said he was dedicating the trophy to God.

He said in Umuahia the Abia State Capital that Enyimba players will be given their cars as soon as it is ready.

He insisted that the players had been given enough motivation through their salaries and allowances.
