Yes, I’m Government candidate, so what? Lumumba Ad

Chairman of Professional league first division side, J.C. Raiders, Lumumba Adeh has told nigeriasports.com that it does not matter if he is close to the Government since that does not take anything away from the fact that, he is the best man for the position of Chairman of the Nigeria Football Association, NFA.

“I know I am in government and also part of Government, but the question should be if I’m qualified to be NFA chairman?”

“If I were not in government, maybe another issue would have arisen, but yes I cannot deny it because I am in government but, we should ask more serious questions like if I am qualified for it.

Adeh refused to discuss problems of the out-going board saying he has made up his mind right from the onset, not to dwell on that but just speak on the way forward for Nigerian football.

“I made it a point of duty not to discuss that in my pursuit of the chairmanship position and of course, Nigerians already know these problems.”

“What I can say is that ,I am coming in with a different style and Nigerians should decide who they want because, I want to make a difference in Nigerian football.”

Adeh described himself as a person, who has a grasp of the problems of Nigerian football being one who has followed the game for so long.

“All that is packaged in what I call my vision and if I pursue it very well, then you can be sure that, fans will not just return to our stadia but Nigerian football will be taken more seriously than now.”

“I am not just talking about the local league, but the national teams, including the junior teams and female teams. And this is just a small part of what I want to do.”
