Ogunade, Eyo Congratulate Nigeria
Aftermath of the 69-44 points trouncing of Mali by Nigeria on Monday to book a place in the semi-finals of the 19th Fiba Africa Championship for Women, Nigerians of all walks of life have continued to identify with the heroines performance of the Nigerian team.

Chairman of the Lagos State Basketball Association, Babs Ogunade said that, for Nigeria to beat Mali with as many as 25 points margin, then the team would go all the way to retain the title. He praised the efforts of the NBBF president for motivating the team which according to him, is the tonic the team needed to excel. The former Nigeria international while speaking on phone with nigeriasports.com late Monday, said the team needed the support of all stakeholders to surpass Congo DRC in today's semi-final clash. He urged the consortium of coaches handling the team to continue to work harmoniously together until the set task is achieved.
