Angola pounds Niger, 79-26 points

Angola Sunday handed down a 79-26 points defeat of Niger Republic in a group-B game of the ongoing 19th Fiba Africa Championship for Women holding in Abuja, Nigeria.

The Angolan whose hope of making the semi-final look doubtful were a torn in the flesh of the less fancied Niger team that parade three players of Nigeria origin from the start of the game to the end.

It was an evening that basketball fans trooped out in the hundreds to relax for the Xmas holiday.

Angola will Monday engage Gabon in their last group game while Mozambique battles Niger.
