Electoral body stops Obienu, women aspirants

Taiwo Ogunjobi...one of the aspirants
Two days into the screening exercises of those aspiring to become Chairman of the Nigerian football House, nigeriasports.com can disclose that, all female aspirants and a male, have had their ambitions stemmed by the Electoral Committee.

Our investigations show that, such candidates, either submitted their forms late after the scheduled time, or could not meet the desired conditions of the body.

nigeriasports.com gathered that, while such candidates as Chief Bola Jegede and Mrs Gloria Frazier were late in submitting their forms, Barrister Richard Obienu could not get all his papers as required by the Electoral Guidelines in place before the deadline.

"For Obienu," nigeriasports.com gathered, "he got all his papers but for an endorsement from his Enugu, State in place.  He was given some hours of grace to do so, but unfortunately, he was disappointed by his own people, who we are sure, denied him an endorsement.  So, he was disqualified.

For the women folks, we gathered that, no fewer than four showed an initial interest, but of all, none could catch the train," our source informed.

Meanwhile, Chief Segun Odegbami, Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi, Alhaji Ibrahim Galadima, Tony Nnachetta, Jumb, Lumumba, and Lulu amongst other aspirants, have scaled-over the first hurdle of being cleared to contest by the Electoral Committee, headed by Chief Nduka Irabor, a no-nonsense veteran Journalist.

Galadima were told, earned a return-to-the-FA-Board ticket by virtue of the fact that, "there were only two candidates from his North West Zone."

That, nigeriasports.com was further informed,  that this earned him an automatic board membership of the would-be new NFA Board.fact...same for others
