We are in Nigeria to learn – C/Verde coach
An elated coach Emmanuel Trovoada of the Cape Verde Island told group of journalists in a post match briefing Thursday that his wards was in Nigeria to garner more experience and exposure for future championship.
Coach Trovoada whose wards succumb to the superior fire power of the defending champion, Nigeria on the opening game of the 19th Fiba Africa Women Championship taking place at the Sports Hall of the Abuja National Stadium Wednesday posted a 76-44 points win over hapless Togo female national team for their first ever win in any international basketball competition. The coach who is not sounding confident that his team would make it to the semi-final stage where they still have Senegal and Mali to contend with in group-A says his team will be stronger with every game they play in this championship.
