Sports For All commissions office

A new Sport For All Nigeria office was on Wednesday commissioned at the Nigeria Olympic Committee, NOC secretariat at the National Stadium Lagos. Commissioning the office, the Vice Chairman of NOC, Mr. Jonathan Nnaji, said since Sports For All was part of his committee, given it a place at its secretariat was part of their capacity building exercise.


 

He said that he was impressed that the office block which now accommodates Sport For All, started and ended during the tenure of the present executive board led by Alhaji Habu Gumel. 

 "I am indeed glad that, what started like a child's play, is now trully a reality. We in the NOC will continue to support Sports For All until it realises the objective for which it was set up," he added.

Also speaking at the occasion, the President of Sport For All, Mrs. Ize Matabese, said she was very excited about the commissioning adding that, with this in place, it would be able to serve all Nigerians better. 

 "Now with the secretariat in place, people can come in and get information about the activities of the body at leas,t at a designated point unlike when we operated under the tree," she explained.

She thanked the executive of the NOC, who she explained were kind enough to give them the space and also coporate bodies such as CFAO, UAC and Total for their support.  Matabese urged members of the board of Sports For All to come together and take active part towards moving the body forward.
Among the dignataries in attendance were: NOC Seretary General, Mr. Banji Oladapo, the National Stadium Manager, Mr. Ahmed Jumare and Sports Ministry liaison chief in Lagos, Mrs. Ahwa-Kulu Akinyemi.
