Arrested NFA acting-Sec General replaced

fanny amun, replaced nfa scribe
Embattled Nigeria Football Association, NFA Management Board has appointed a new acting Secretary-General to run the affairs of the secretariat of the body.

This was sequel to the arrest of the former Acting Secretary-General, Mr. Fanny Amun by security agents.  Amun, a former football coach, was picked-up in Makurdi, the Benue State capital, soon after the last emergency congress of the Nigerian football governors.

In Fanny Amun's place, the rattled Management members rose from a meeting in Abuja yesterday to announce the appointment of Mr. Osawaro Onyewase as the new Acting scribe of the Association.  nigeriasports.com can report that, until his new appointment, Onyewase was the Acting head of the Nigerian football house's Administration and Finances Department.

It would be recalled that, Fanny Amun was appointed Acting Secretary-General, NFA following the exit of Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi, who was forced out of office by the Galadima-led board earlier in the year; mid-way into the Eagles chase for a World Cup ticket in Germany next year. Amun was the FA's acting scribe until his arrest.
