Egbe Excited by Banyana goal

Nkechi Egbe of Nigeria's Super Falcons
Returnee Super Falcons attacker, Nkechi Egbe has told nigeriasports.com that she will forever remember her goal against the Banyana Banyana of south Africa scored on Saturday at the Oghara township stadium.

Egbe told Nigeriasports.com that though her goal was a penalty, she cherishes it a lot because it marked her return to duty for the Falcons after a long lay off.

“You know for a long time now I have been out of the national team and I have not been having things easy at my club, Nasarawa Amazons so my call up was a surprise and the fact that I got a goal makes me feel even better.”

Nkechi who has played in three world cup, two Olympic games and three African Women Championships says she expects to be part of the team for next year’s games in Gabon.

“Of course, every one wants to play for the National team and I cant be an exception so I will work towards it.”
