Union Bank Out play Back of Guinea

Nigeria representative at the ongoing grand finale of the 20 th Africa Champions Club Competition, Union Bank basketball club Tuesday recorded its first win at the Abidjan met against group-C conqueror, Back basketball club of Guinea.

The coaches Ayinla Johnson and Emma Okolo tutored Lagos based team who suffered two previou defeats in the hand of Inter Club de Luanda and defending champion, Desportiva 1. Agosto de Luanda rose to the occasion by taking their Guinean opponent to the cleaner from the blast of the referees' whistle winning the encounter by 85-63 points.

Also on the winning streak is Petro Atletico who defeated fellow Angolan Inter Club by 70-63 just as defending champion, Primero Agosto maintained its unbeaten run posting a 77-69 points victory over host ABC of Ivory Coast.

Union Bank will take to the court this evening against Petro Atletico, Back will engage Primero de Agosto while host ABC will do battle against Inter Club as curtain falls on the championship.
