Kwara FC's Ikhana gropes beyond borders

Former CAF Champion, Enyimba FC of Aba, who has now pitched tent with Kwara United FC, Kadiri Ikhana is set to bid farewell to the Nigerian Premier League by the end of the season. Speaking with nigeriasports.com, Ikhana confirmed his desire to leave for South Africa or any club in Europe to continue his coaching career, as he had not found a suitable local club that can withstand his coaching experiences.

“I am fed- up with the Nigerian League.  After this season with Kwara United; whether I pick a continental ticket for them or not, all I need is a rest or a move to Europe to continue my career there,” he said.  According to Ikhana, there is no specific country in mind now, but three countries have shown interest in him. " I got a contract with the Black Leopards of South Africa last year. Apart from them, there are other two counties which I will not need my services but, I would rather keep their names to my chest for now.  So, I am thinking seriously, of giving them trial next year; God willing

“As I'm talking  with you, the  Black  Leopards are waiting for me, but for the fact that, they did not agree with my terms, a reply for which, I am still waiting, I probably would have been with them by now.  I am still waiting for them.  If they do eventually, then I hope to be with them next year. Meanwhile, let me state here that, I am going to do my best to get a continental ticket for Kwara United FC," the Edo State-born coach re-emphasized.
