Zenith Women Championship: Delta players dream fin

Players of Delta Force female basketball club of Asaba are not allowing their non-appearance at the first phase of the national division-one women championship held in kano to stand as a stumbling block to their ambition to qualiy for the final-6 billed for the Indoor of the Abuja National Stadium from September 17 to 22.

The championship sponsored by Zenith Bank Plc pitched the coach Lateef Erinfolami tutored girls in group-A alongside Customs of Lagos, Plateau Rocks of Jos, Immigration of Kano, Dodan Amazons of Lagos, Bayelsa Angels of Yenogoa, Yankari Babes of Bauchi and the Benue Princess of Makurdi.

Players of the asaba based team are confident that should they manage to win all their group games for a cummulative points of fourteen should be able to put them in a good position for a slot in the final-6.

The Asaba based team who defeated Immigration 62-42 points in its first game last Sunday piped Dodan Amazons 38-14 points on Monday and recorded a 53-29 point’s victory over Yankari Babes of Bauchi.

It is expected that the team would have an easy one over Benue Princess when both sides take to the court later today at the Indoor of the Lagos National Stadium for a fourth straight win.
