Vera Okolo returns to Nigerian League Vera Okolo, now with Delta Queens “I have already missed the first round of the league and it is not funny for me so I will play like I have never played before to make up for the games I missed.” Vera Okolo told nigeriasports.com. She however had harsh words for the standard of refereeing in the Womens game urging the NFA Women football Department to seriously look in or else the game be ruined. “In all my years of playing football I have never seen a referee that bad,” Vera Okolo cursed. “We should have won the game in Abakaliki but the referee frustrated our every move and showed five yellow and one red card to our players, including me when we protested an unjust penalty given against us.” “My suggestion is that they (NFA) send assessors to watch matches and expose these fraudulent referees or else they might just kill our game.”
