Nigerian female boxer wins world title

Nigeria female boxer, Ijeoma Egbunine is the new WBE world champion, nigeriasports.com can report.

The US based Egbunine won the title when she knocked out American Alexandria Maloy in the seventh round to win the vacant world boxing empire Middleweight title.

24 year old Egbunine, an original Light Heavyweight fighter had to come down in weight to fight for the title. She has a record of 5 wins 1 loss and no draw.

She said she had to fight for the title to prove a point.

Ijeoma Egbunine is trained by Nigerian Henry Okafor, who believes so much in his prized fighter.
