Enyimba's victory bloats Anyasi's confidence

Soon after the Eretrean center referee shrilled-off the CAF Champions League encounter between Enyimba and Ajax Cape Town of South Africa, excited supporters and fans of the home side were caught in a fit of celebration; one that stretched beyond the Enyimba Stadium vicinity and milled into the streets of the commercial nerve center of the State.

Frenzy as the 2-0 victory jubilations over the visitors were, one man stood quietly outside the crowd in a sombre mood.  That man, who though was glad that his team, Enyimba disarmed the 'Urban Warriors' from South Africa, had a completely different thought running around his brain...he was the team's Administrator, Mr. Anyasi Agwu.

According to our Coresspondent, CHIGOZIE CHUKWOLETTA, who covered the match live in Aba, the People's Elephants' Administrator was happy with the 2-0 scoreline in favour of the Nigerians, but harboured the fear of whether his boys could sustain the tempo of today's game.  "The scoreline is okay.

I'm happywith the victory, but I do hope that, the players would continue to sustain this level of tempo in their subsequent matches. "If there is anything that is really making me very happy right now, it is that this victory over Ajax Cape Town, has brought us back into the mainstream of reckoning in the race for the continental title.  Let us wait and get the results of the other teams, then we would plan well, on how to forge ahead in the campaign...this victory has really brought us back into contention and I thank God for it'" Anyasi remarked excitedly.

Indeed Chairman, this victory has really brought us back into contention and we thank God for it' But a whole lot need to be done if Enyimba fc is to make appreciable impact on this year's Caf Championship.

Once again my special thanks to all the supporters club who thronged the Enyimba Int'l stadium Aba. beating their drums relentlessly singing praying, worshiping the almighty God in spirit and in truth untill the much sought out goals came.

What else can we say to God? but to say thank you Lord. were it not God on our side, the urban warriors would have disgraced us in our own back yard.

Dear Chairman , Coach Okey Emordy and all your partners in progress remember its not yet over untill it is over, As you have observed the boys from cape town were physically fit more than our boys so I would want you to work on our boys fitness and cohesion. the pples elephants were equally not well cordinated, the passes especially during the first half was indeed very worrisome and thought- provoking. However, they can over come those shortcoming.

In their match against the al ahly of Egypt what should be uppermost in their heart is REVENGE! REVENGE!! REVENGE!!! they should beat them not to draw them if they could come to Aba and beat us 0-1 thereby spoiling our day on that fateful horrible day, then what stops us from inflicting the same emotional pains on them in the presence of their teaming fans.

So to me its a PAY BACK time against them. Nothing short of that.

Long live Enyimba Int'l Club. Long live Nigeria.

I pray Eyimba wins this cup for the third time, because winning this time has a lot of advantages. It will not only means setting a record third time back to back, winning the cups for keep but it will also afford the team a chance to take part in the world club championships. This championships will offer monetary rewards to the club and the players, it will also afford the players to market themselves. So i urged them all to be focused.
