Ogunade congratulate Comets, Customs, Union Bank

The chairman of Lagos State Basketball Association, Babs Ogunade has commended the trio of Ebun Comets, Customs and Union Bank basketball clubs for emerging first, second and third in the just concluded Atlantic conference leg of the Nigeria Basketball Federation, NBBF Basketball Challenge shortly after the competition ended last Tuesday in Lagos.

The LSBBA chairman described the five-day event as a test case for Nigeria basketball also praised the gallant efforts of the remaining two Lagos based club sides, Islanders and Dodan Warriors basketball clubs for putting up a fight for the three slots at stake.

The former Nigerian international forward charged the three clubs that qualified for the grand finale of the challenge billed for the Indoor hall of the Abuja national stadium from this weekend to go for the top spot.

Ogunade, though silent on what contribution the LSBBA would offer the three teams who are also in the semi-finals of the Lagos City league says, said only the top spot is good for the teams, but caution them against underrating any of their Savannah conference opponents.
