FCT Queen finally leave for home
After being held up by an Umuaha Hotel for three days, players of Female football club, FCT Queens of Abuja finally left Umuahia on Tuesday morning for Abuja.
The team was held up by the management of Sheldon Hotel for three days until relief came from their base in Abuja. The Team, which participated in and won the Dana Cup in Denmark earlier in the season surprisingly turned out to be the most poverty striken side of the Super Six, stuffing twenty three players in two Hotel rooms and also paying feeding allowances of tow thousand five hundred naira each to the girls as feeding allowances for their two week stay. On of the players who spoke with www.nigeriasports.com described this year’s super six competition as the worst she had attended. She said she was reduced to a beggar throughout the duration of the championship. 0
