Ibom Queens players petition club management

The female football department of the Nigeria Football Association may be forced to sanction the management of Ibom Unity Queens following their failure to keep to contractual agreements made with the players.

An NFA board member told www.nigeriasports.com that a strongly worded petition signed by all players in the team was sent to the NFA during the Super Six Competition in Umuahia

The NFA board member, Ayo Omidiran said they will look into the petition and we only act if their is proof that the club did not pay to players what was promised them.

"If we find out that the players have a case then the club will be sanctioned and forced to pay but their must first be evidence that the club did not pay what was due the players."

Ibom Queens Coach hope to move on

Chief Coach of Ibom Unity Queens of Uyo says he will move on to a more ambitious club in time for the new season. Obi Reagan Ogballa told www.nigeriasports.com that He says he has not yet made plans for next season and will only decide at the end of the season.

"This place is like hell to me. I know what I achieved in this place, first taking the club to the Super Six and also winning the Akwa Ibom state Challenge cup, but it seems the club management does not like success"

Despite the poor outing of Ibom Unity Queens of Uyo at the Super Six, he says he is impressed with the form of his girls at the championships. Obi Regan Ogballa told www.nigeriasports.com that his girls did their best despite the fact that there was little or no motivation from the Akwa Ibom state government, sponsors of the club.

"You don’t expect the girls to give in their best when they are not even sure where their next meal will come from"
