We lost because we were hungry- Ibom Unity Queens

Camerounian international and Ibom Unity Queens utility player, Sylvie Noudjou, also known as Nunu says the reason for the poor performance of Ibom Unity Queens at the just concluded female league super six is poor preparation by the team occasioned by hunger.

Nunu told nigeriasports.com that the club did not do well because of the financial situation that has seen the players not paid four more than four months. "Most of the teams who came to Umuahia trained twice a day but of course we could not do the same, training three times a week because we were hungry. Infact I want to say that we lost because we were hungry." Sylvie Noudjou said there was no way they could keep up the tempo after winning their first game against FCT Queens.

"I don’t think the Chairman of our club, Bonny Nyong likes the team. If he does then he will not treat us the way he does." Players of Ibom Unity Queens were locked in by the management of the Hotel they lodged in Umuahia when they failed to pay their bills at the end of the twelve-day championship
