Rivers Angels in consolation win
Rivers Angels finished in 4th place after clubbing Ibom Unity Queens 4-0. The Port Harcourt based side showed their superiority to dislodge the queens.
Ngozi Onwubiko put the Angels ahead in the 38th minute when she struck with her left foot off a Celina Akide corner kick. Livina Mmegwam made it 2-0 in the 52nd minute and veteran Rita Nwadike made it three in the 81st minute. With less than a minute left on the clock, Stella Mbachu dribbled her way into the Ibom defence and laid on for midfield inspiration, Nkechi Amadi who blasted behind Chioma Ajagba for goal number four. However this victory came too little too late for the Angels as they could not rise above fourth place, their worst outing yet in the Super Six competition.
