Lagos City League new innovation According the state association chairman, Babatunde Ogunade refer to simply as Babs, said the idea to intro duce the playoffs is to add glamour to the league which will make it to be more competitive and attractive to watch. The former Nigerian international said aside the semi-finals where teams will play themselves thrice except a winner emmerge after game-2 having recorded two staright win over its opponent, the third place matches will also be decided through the same method. In the grand finale, which will be played side by side the third place matches, the female finals will be decided through a best of three games while the male finals will be a best of five games. The LSBBA chairman is however, optimistic that sponsors would be secure before the commencement of playoffs on August 13. He equally commended the efforts of the Nigeria Basketball Federation, NBBF at repositioning the game in the country. Ogunade enjoined the federation to lend a helping hand to state associations so that the game can develop equally in the country. 1
