Dolphin engage foreign players

In order to strenghten the team for the second stanza of the Globacom Premier League and CAF Confederation Cup competition, Dolphin FC of Port Harcourt has signed three foreign new players. The three whose names were not given the nigeriasports.com are Ivoirens according to the chief coach of the club Abdullahi Musa.

 The coach told nigeriasports.com that the players were signed after they survived the screening. "We needed serious reinforcement in our team to enable us achieve our aim in the CAF Confederation Cup as well as defending our 2004 league title".

“We did not just sign them for signing sake, it was on merit, they passed the screening and we signed them for the remaining matches,” Musa said. The coach revealed that the players were defenders noting that his team had a major problem in the defence last season.
“Our defense was one of our major problems last season and we have a big task ahead of us which we believe to over come by the grace of God, am talking of the league and Confederation cup,” he said.
On the team’s preparation for their match against Arab Contractors billed for July 27th in Port Harcourt, Musa confirmed that the players were ready for the game.

He noted that there was no injury recorded since they resumed training, saying that all the players were in good shape. “We are prepared for the game, as you can see the players are ready.There is no injury recorded so far since we resumed training. We want to make sure that
everything is  in place before the league kicks off next weekend,” he said.
