Promise in Turkey for Genclerbirligi

Promise Isaac
Flying Eagles captain Isaac Promise is poised to shrug off interest from some of Europe's top leagues to sign for Turkish outfit Genclerbirligi after all.

Agent Dan Fletcher said he is currently in Turkey with Promise for talks with Genclerbirligi over his first move to Europe.

Despite interest from France, Holland and Spain, Promise has opted to move to the Turkish SuperLig in search of regular first team football.

Agent Fletcher revealed that whilst the deal had not yet been finalised, Genclerbirligi is in pole position to secure the signature of the gifted forward.

"There were lots of options, Auxerre was an option, Feyenoord was an option, Alaves was an option but the first move out of Africa is the most crucial.

The lure behind the move is first team football instead of being on the bench at these other clubs” Fletcher said.

"It's a very good deal financially, it's a very good deal football wise, and so at the moment that's leading the race.

“We expect everything to get tied up shortly, but things can happen in football so you don't know."
