"Nigerian 'Nightmare' for Taurus 'The Bull'

World ranked IBF/WBO No.5, WBC No.6 and unbeaten NABF/USBA Heavyweight champion, "Nigerian Nightmare" Samuel Peter (23-0) with 20KO's is currently preparing for his battle against NABA Heavyweight champion Taurus "The Bull" Sykes of Brooklyn, NY (23-1-1) scheduled for July 2 at the Reno Event Center Reno, NV to be televised Live on Showtime championship Boxing.

And in a chat with the current North America Boxing Federation (NABF) and United States Boxing Association (USBA) Heavyweight champion, only days before his showdown with North America Boxing Association (NABA) Heavyweight Champion,Taurus Sykes, he spoke with nigeriasports.com  Ike Enwereuzor in his US base:

Peter is a strong fighter, who has explosive power and natural boxing ability.  He is looking for his opportunity to prove himself. The hard-hitting Nigerian, now based in Las Vegas, Neveda is a 2000 Olympian, who  began his pro career Febuary 2001 in Almaty, in Kazakhstan. His dream is to become a world heavyweight champion one day.

On December 4, 2004 at Mandalay Bay Casino in Las Vegas, Peter dismissed former world title challenger, Jeremy Williams in round 3 to capture the vacant North America Boxing Federation (NABF) belt and added the vacant USBA crown on January 22, 2005 by beating Cuban Yamplier Azcuy in the 5th round.

Ike: How is training coming along for your fight with Taurus Sykes?
Peter: Everything is going good. I'm already in Reno, waiting for Taurus Sykes. Let him do all the talking.  I'll do mine in the ring. He said I never fought anyone like him.  Well, I'll be on July 2.and I hope he's ready.

Ike: Describe your fight with Jeremy Williams?
Peter: He was talking just like Sykes is doing now, but I put him in a coma. I told you I was going to knock Jeremy William out. The same big mouth he had,is what Sykes is bringing and it's the same thing. He's going to be punished and disgreed, Tune into to Showtime Saturday July 2. He said I fight flat footed, we shall see on July 2.

Ike: How was the Gilbert Martinez fight?
Peter:  He was a southpaw.  I have sparred with many of them so, I know how to handle them pretty well. The fight was easier than I thought it will be

Ike: Your thoughts on all the heavyweight champions today?
Peter:  They are all good champions.  I respect them, everyone is just trying to take care of their Business. I'm ready for all of them. I have what it take  to beat all of them.

Ike: Your thoughts on Vitali Klitschko?
Peter:  He's good but I know I can beat him any night. I am ranked No.6 by WBC so I'm getting closer.  Let's take care of Taurus Sykes first then, we can talk about Vitali Klitschko.

Ike: Any comment to your fans?
Peter:  I want to thank all my fans for their supports. I'm going to take away his NABA title because,I'm bringing a new style to Boxing. I love all my fans.
