Finidi is Etoo's bait

Finidi heading to Spain
Former Nigerian international Finidi George may return to top-flight football after going on a month's trial at his old club RCD Mallorca, thus laying to rest the speculations of his secret romance with the modest la liga outfit.

The player according to club secretary Pilar De La Cuesta, is being lined up as an ideal bait for digruntled cameroonian forward, Samuel Etoo Fils, who has repeatedly announced his decision to quit the struglling side.
Cuesta believes, the nigerian prescence could have a great influence in keeping the free scoring forward at Son Moix despite their poor 17th position on the league table.
" George has a great influence here and the fans at the training ground are full of confidence he'll make Etoo stay here" he told the club's weekly magazine on wednesday.
" They get along already and we saw them both eating lunch together, sight like that will make a good spirit in the squad and we hope it does" cuesta sounded optmistic.

If all goes well, midfield player Finidi could sign a permanent contract when the transfer window opens in January.
"It's great to be back at Mallorca," he told the Spanish team's website. "I am mentally prepared to regain my fitness as soon as possible."
The 32-year-old left Son Moix for English side Ipswich Town FC in August 2001 but has not played professionally for six months.
President of Mallorca, Mateu Alemany Font only two days back read the riot act and urged the players to restore pride and give the fans something to cheer " I can't believe it is same club that played against Madrid" he lamented over the club's woeful run in the current season.
