Ministry officials visit Gateway Games Commission![]() Head, Media and Publicity Sub-Committee for the hosts, Deacon Kunle Oluwusi told us in Abeokuta, that the visit, which is the second in the series, would create a forum for "discussions boardering on modalities for the smooth organization of the Games." Oluwusi added that "the thinking cap sessions would last for four days - from June 29 to July 2, 2006. "The four-day inspection visit would afford members of the MOC, the opportunity of assessing the level of preparations so far, by the hosts. I have a feeling that they would inspect facilities, such as; the Games Village, the new stadium in Ijebu-Ode, which is expected to host some of the Games events and other related and relevant issues bothering on the smooth and successful hosting of the National Sports Festival." He told nigeriasports.com further that, the meeting will be held in the Boardroom of the Gateway Games Commission office, MKO Stadium, in Abeokuta, which is expected to host most of the events at the Festival. Oluwusi disclosed also that, the visit would be a routine check from now, till when all gadgets for the Games, would be in competitive shapes. The Gateway Games 2006, the 15th edition of the National Sports Festival, according to the hosts, is aiming at surpassing what ABUJA 2004 offered in terms of glamour and organization. 2
