Bash Ali in "Show of Grudge"

WBF cruiser weight champion, Nigeria's Bashiru Lawrence Ali has his eyes set on a January date with WBF number one cruiserweight contender, United Kingdom's John Keeton in Nigeria.

At 57, the controversial and self acclaimed world's oldest boxer, Ali assures his fans of total demolition of his opponents " I don't think I've let my fans down" he told nigeriasports website.

In his usual utterance the controversial boxer says "I am going to hit him hard in round one, make him suffer in round two and knock him out in round three...Bash Ali you are very great "

Speaking further, the Edo born pugilist dislodge speculations of an all out sell out that peo has often characterized his previous bouts in the past.

" I wonder why critcs and my detractors never appreciate good things, everything am doing is for Nigeria and some people does not like to see me succeed" he says in rhetorics

Ali had caused major ripples last year when he won a bout outside the boxing ring against " The WBO", a not-for-profit sporting association headquartered in San Juan, Puerto Rico, was sued by the Nigerian prizefighter Bash Ali in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California (San Francisco).

Ali contended that the WBO, by failing to rank him as highly as he believed he should have been ranked -- or in some cases, by failing to rank him at all -- defamed him, interfered with prospective contractual relations, and violated 42 U.S.C. Section 1981 (prohibiting discriminating in contracts on the basis of race). Ali's original complaint also included a RICO count.

After months of court appearances, he got a whopping $2.5 million (US) reward for damages and pitched tent with the WBF instead " I believe it will never happen again in the history of boxing, I cannot wait to get back in the ring and continue my historical feat " he had confided in nigeriasports.com.
