City League:Union Bank, Comets in Massive wins

Comets handed down a 28 points defeat of Warriors Academy who before the encounter against the former Akure based team had taken on big teams head-long only to fall to the Cocoa boys by 50-22 points while Union Bank on the other hand defeated Egbeda Raiders 87-44 points (24-08), (14-10), (29-12) and (20-14).

After game-four of the league only Comets, Union Bank and former Nigerian league champion, Islanders remains unbeaten having won all four games played so far to make their qualifications for the final-four playoffs looks  comfortable.

Islanders who is in a rebuilding stage after it lost most of its key players to other clubs in the local scene out pointed Eko Fliers 71-60 points (20-19), (17-14), (15-14) and (19-13).

Other results of games played in the day see Dodan Warriors roaring back from their first shocked defeat by NAF Rockets to beat Sea Rovers 56-43 points, Rockets continues its excellent run in the league beating hapless Melphis who is yet to record a win in the league 71-47 (19-15), (20-11), (12-10) and (20-11) while the results between Customs and Estate Whales was still being awaited as at the time of filling this report.

Meanwhile matches continues on Saturday as the league committee of the LSBBA have to make some adjustment in order to accommodate competitions lined up by the Nigeria Basketball Federation, NBBF.
