FCT take Women LEague Lead

FCT Queens moved to the top of the Nigerian Women Football LEague following a 1-0 win over Sunshine Queens on friday at the Old Parade Ground in Abuja.

Kenny Winjobi's early goal made the difference between both sides.

FCT now has eight points from four matches.

In Asaba, Delta Queens thrashed Oyinlola Queens three nil with goals from Akudo Iwuagwu, Maureen Eke and Maureen Godwin.

In Ilorin it was an away win for Solid babes as they were two-one better than Oladimeji Tigress.

MArita Njoku got the first goal while Ijeoma Obi scored the second from a penalty after Nkechi Egbe was brought down in the box.

In Abakiliki it was Ebonyi Queens winning over Rivers Angels by a lone goal.

Its shameful and worringsome that NFA has not packaged a sponsor for the Nigerian Female Football League.What is the job the marketing dept is doing now.Its a pity that since Edozie Enemuo passed away,not much has been heard in that dept of the FA.Let them do something now to salvage our female league from collapse.
