Former national under seventeen first choice keeper, Chigozie Agbim is nursing a desire to once again wear the green shirt if any of the national teams as he reveals in this chat with nigeriasports.com.
Agbim was first choice in Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets team that once in African under seventeen championships in Seychelles in 2001 but was dropped just before the World cup on age grounds.
He has since then tried to pick up the pieces of his career, first at Gombe United and now NPA Seasiders of Lagos.
Nigeriasports.com: So have been gone from the national scene for some time. What has been happening to you?
Chigozie Agbim: there is nothing happening only that I am still working hard hoping to get back to any of the national teams.
NS: so what is life like in Lagos with NPA?
CA: Its okay. Every thing is just okay. I decided to join the club because it’s a youthful side that can improve my game. Every one works for the next person so I am enjoying myself here.
NS: so what are you looking at Achieving here in Lagos?
CA: I’m looking forward to using my stay here to go back to the national team.
NS: and which of the national teams are you looking at?
CA: Well, the under twenty three team that will prepare for the next All Africa Games and Olympic games.
NS: and what about Europe?
CA: Yes I have plans too but no immediate plans. I just want to stay back home and build up my self with NPA and the Olympic team before thinking of going abroad.
