Elephant Girls 14 points better than Customs
First Bank Elephant Girls basketball club of Lagos yesterday showed the worth of a true champion when it handed down a 46-28 points win over arch rival, Customs in the first female pairing of the first Lagos City League.
The match which was played at the indoor sports hall of the Rowe Park Sports Centre, Yaba was used by the reigning Africa club competition defending champion as they overwhelm the border girls to register their first win and determination to drink from the maiden trophy of the City League. In the second game of the day the bankers feeder team, Blue Angels defeated Dodan Amazons 32-14 points while Dolphins basketball club who will now play as an affiliated club of Ogun State Basketball Association was drawn bye.
