Rowe Park to host premier league games

This piece of news will surely gladden the heart of basketball enthusiasts in Lagos as the technical committee of the Nigeria Basketball Federation, NBBF is deeply considering granting the Lagos based teams the usage of the sports hall of the Rowe Park Sports Centre.

Disclosing this in the Nigeria commercial capital, the federation technical committee chairman, Dr. Adamu Ahmed under whose purview the activities of the premier league falls.

The man often refer to as Doya in basketball circle gave the hint to www.eurobasket.com in an exclusive chat shortly after the press briefing of the NBBF that his committee will welcome and push forward the Rowe Park gymnasium for the home games of the five Lagos based Atlantic conference teams thus laying to rest the issue that the teams would play their home games at the University of Lagos gymnasium.

Dr. Adamu said, a visitation to have on the spot assessment of work that would be done by a team made up of technical committee of the Nigerian basketball ruling body and that of the sponsors.

The Ahmadu Bello University, ABU, Zaria, Urban and Regional lecturer gave kudos to the Lagos State Basketball Association, LSBBA for putting together a league (Lagos City League) for teams in Lagos and its environs.
